Willow, Jasmine

Hey, my name is Wanda, I adopted Willow November 26, 2008, It has been a year now almost and just wanted to give a up date. She is doing wonderful we can't imagine not having her in our home. She is the most loving, and sweetest thing. Her and Jasmine my other min-pin have got'n so close. Its funny to watch them, their about the same age but Willow watches out for Jazz like a mother. They do everything together. Thank you all for doing the work you do because without ya'll we wouldn't have our sweet Willow. We love her so very much! Here are a few pictures of MY GURLS!

Success Story: Shadow

Thu, 13 May 2010 09:52:23 -0700 (PDT) - from Cynthia, via Brandy

Shadow

Hi, my name is Shadow Farmer. I want to let you know just how much I love and appreciate my new forever family. They seem to really love me, kinda like they have been waiting all their lives for "a me"!

I now have a mom, a brother 16, another brother 19 and a sister 21. In the morning when my mom awaits she takes me to my outside gate enclosure. I have a chance to potty and stretch my legs for bit. Then she comes back to get me so I can have my breakfast. Sometimes I don't want to go back out right away, and mom says that's ok. She lets me take a nap. When I wake up, she lets me go back outside, in my protective gate. I get to watch the birds, the squirrels and the doggie next door, in his fenced backyard. I enjoy the sun and being outside in the warmth. When my mom comes to get me, it is time to take my brothers to school.

I "LOVE" to ride! I get to sit in my 19 year old brother's lap. We always go to the Chick-fil-A. And the ladies at the window always call for my morning nugget when they see me. My brother feeds me my nugget, slowly because he wants to make sure it is not too hot. Then I watch the cars, the buses and the people until I get sleepy, then he rubs my tummy and I go to sleep in his lap. I miss them when they get out. But mom says they gotta go to school and learn big people human stuff. That's ok, because I still have my mom and we get to go back home until my sister goes off to college for the day. I love her too. She is still not too sure of herself around me, but she lets me jump in her lap and soon she will learn it does not hurt me for her to pick me up. My 16 year old brother is my favorite. He walks with me and mom. He walks me with his friends in the neighborhood and he lets me sit at the foot of his bed while he plays games and talks with his friends. I get so excited when I see mom and him. We take him to work after school and mom has to pick him up as well.

My mom took me to the vet and the groomer. The vet answered mom's questions, so she can continue to be a good mom for me. The groomer trimmed my nails. I did not like that, but mom says I have to have them trimmed and what mom says, I don't have a choice I have to obey. I know it is for my good. Oh yeah, I almost forgot…mom got me a toothbrush, because the vet said I need my teefs cleaned. Yuck, yuck! Mom and I have tried it. Neither one of us is any good at it yet. But if I have not learned anything, I know my Mom, she is determined to get it right, do it right, because it's right. We will be experts soon. I still chase my tail sometimes, when I get so over-the-top happy because I know they are getting ready to take me somewhere. But they handle me well and I stop quickly. My mom makes sure I don't get too tired, too hungry, too cold or too hot. And if she can't take me with her, she safely secures me in my crate. I don't whine, because I know they love me and look out for "my" best interest. We are going to have big fun this summer. I cannot thank you all enough for taking such good care of me long enough to be adopted by my forever family, "The Farmers"!

Sincerely,
Shadow Farmer

Ps. Sorry about the length of my letter, but I did not know any other way to thoroughly express my glee!

Success Story - Carter in GA

Thu, 14 Jul 2011 15:27:23 +0000 - from Elizabeth

Carter

About 2 months ago my mother was fostering a precious dog named Carter. We instantly bonded. My mother had to go out of town for a few days, so I watched Carter while she was gone. Within 24 hours of being together, I knew I wanted to adopt him. I told my mother but she said I had to wait at least 1 week. I counted down the days and when that 1 week was up I sent in my application. Carter and I are now happily living together in Valdosta, GA. He is such a wonderful, sweet dog, I couldn't ask for anyone better! Thanks so much for all you do.
