To all of you that are nice enough to help with Brodie, I thought I would tell you a little about him. He is about 8 months old
now, a very pretty bright red, his tail is docked and his ears are uncropped, they stand up and tip over right at the tops its
very cute. I used to see him in his yard at his previous owners, and my husband and I would reach over and pet him. He
likes us both, and he will attach to women, but he is scared, very scared of men.The owner said she could not keep him
because he barked, I later found out that her boyfriend had been mean to him. I tried to place him but it didnt work out.I
would love to keep him, but because of my dads health problems, I am afraid I would not have the time to work with him and
I certainly don't have the know how. I am so thankful that Wendy is going to take him and work with him, I feel really good
about it, and I think its pretty nice that so many of you are willing to help, thats pretty special. Sandy

"Brodie" is on his way from Sacramento to El Paso as we speak! I checked a
little while ago and he got to Dallas OK and I will be going to the Airport
to pick him up at 9:15PM our time.(Mountain Time). I will let everyone know
tomorrow how he is.

I just got a call from the Sacramento Airport, when the night people came
in, they found Brodie sitting in his crate on a cart, NO ONE put him on the
plane! They have tried to coax him out of the crate to take him potty but
he is to scared. They are going to fly him out tonight and he will not get
there until 10 in the morning. He has not eaten all day, and I am very
upset!!! Sandy

Hi - We've confirmed that he was picked up this morning by Wendy, we're
just waiting to hear back from her. Both Petie and I have left messages at
home, so we're just waiting patiently.........(yeah right!)

Brodie was sitting on Wendys lap when she called...She said he was fine and
not traumatized at all...They feed him and gave him water before putting
him on the plane last night.

Well, as you all know by now he didn't get to Dallas when they said he
did!!!! in fact he never even left Sacramento until Midnight last night. I
spent three hours at the Airport in El Paso while they were trying to locate
him!!! He did finally arrive safe and sound at about 10:30AM this morning. I
was really proud of him as he had not messed in his crate after being in it
for at least 20 hours!!!!!!! I exercised him immediately and he peed for
about 5 minutes non stop. He is a fun little dog that needs soem TLC and
feeding up as he is very, very thin. He needs his back dewclaws removed and
some extra teeth. I will get him neutered and all these things done when I
get bacl from the dog shows on the 23rd. He has made himself at home and is
going to make some lucky person a great pet after a little training and some
medical care. He is really kinda cute! He is about 12 1/2" tall and needs to
add a couple of pounds but is a nice dark Red, pretty ears that flop at the
tops and is a typical MinPin boy!!! He hasn't put his tail down once since he
has been here but he knows nothing!! I would imagine he has just run wild his
entire 8 months of life. I will let you all know how he is doing after I get
back in 9 days.

When I found out where he was I talked with them in Sacramento and he was fed
and watered. They were very concerned about him and did all I asked them to
do. They even sent some extra food attached to his crate!!!! I told them
under no circumstances were they to try and get him out as he would probably
have got away from them,. He didn't suffer any ill effects and is sitting on
my lap, trying to learn how to type!LOL He is a cute guy who will be a great
pet when he has had some training.

Thank all of you for helping and caring and Thank You Wendy for taking him
and helping him. I am so sorry the flight turned out to be a nightmare, and
I hope you Wendy, get a little sleep now. Sandy

Thought you would all like to know that Brodie is doing GREAT!! He was
neutered, had excess teeth pulled, back dewclaws removed yesterday. Today he
is bouncing around like nothing happened!! He really is a charming little
guy, although now he is putting on weight he is not so little LOL He is about
12 1/4" tall and now weighs in at 8.9lbs. He has filled out and now his coat
is beginning to be shiny and healthy too. I am hoping we can find a really
great home for him as he deserves it. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body
he is just your typical 8 months old boy!!!!!! He also is very good with all
the other dogs, no signs of aggression at all and he has very good taste as
he fell instantly in love with Ladybug and follows her everywhere!!!

Jeni, I am so happy for Brodie and thankful to Wendy and to you. I hope he
brings you a lot of love. Here are a couple of little pictures taken at the
airport.

<<I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jeni Scott. I will be
adopting "Brodie". I get to go pick him up on Saturday. If you haven't heard of him
yet, he is 9 months old, dark red, his tail is docked but is a little long,
and he has floppy ears. I haven't seen him yet, but I'm sure he is adorable.

Need help for Brodie
Brodie is the 7 month old male Min Pin that Sandy took in from a couple who abused him.
Since he is displaying some possibly serious behaviour problems we do not
feel that he is adoptable at this time so Wendy has agreed to take him into
to her "training camp"
but we have to get him from Sacramento down to Texas. So if some of you
could please send in a few small donations we do not have to take away from
the Imps Funds which are reserved for dogs with serious medical problems.
We can make up some of the costs for airfare in his adoption fee but not
all so please if anyone can spare anything send it to:

BUT we will be following up on this with a formal complaint and asking for
a refund and some frequent flyer doggy miles. Dawn and I already have the
name to complain to in Sacramento and everyone we spoke to knew they had
goofed BIG TIME.
The main thing is Brodie is fine and will be neutered have some baby teeth
and dew claws removed and then we'll find a new home.

Who needs a good nights sleep as I didn't get back from the Airport until

Dawn and I had a conference call this morning with the supervisor at
American Airlines in Sacramento CA....the place where they left Brodie off
the flight we had paid for him to be on...
We has a very nice conversation during which we had to explain what a Breed
Rescue organization was and that we were rescuing the dog and it was not a
rescue dog:-) then we had to explain what a Miniature Pinscher was ....but
she was VERY apologetic and said they would gladly refund the money for
that fare and give us another free ride out of Sacramento for the future
which we gladly accepted.
So for the wonderful people who donated toward Brodies rescue flight I
would like to suggest that we keep this money in a seperate pocket of Imps
funds to be used to get another Imps dog someplace where it can get a good
home if nothing is available where it is and its medical costs are high
enough that the adoptive family can't swing the airfare as well.
The extra Sacramento to anywhere trip can just wait until a need arises in
that area again.
