Our Beautiful Bella is gone ....

Mon, 2 Mar 2009 22:13:28 -0800 - from Tracy

Bella

Hi Mag ~ I just wanted to let you know that Bella passed away in late January. Dave and I are heartbroken but could no longer allow her to suffer. Bella fought a brave battle with her health since May 2005. She was small but tough and put up a long and courageous fight.

Bella would have been 11-years old in May. She was with us since she was 16-weeks old. Bella owned our hearts and we'll always miss her. No one can ever fill the void she's left in our life.

Goodbye our Gorgeous Girl, our Best Girl, our Ella Bella .... wait for us at the bridge.

Sadly and through tears,
~Tracy & Dave~

Roxy - IMPS Big Success Story

Fri, 20 Nov 2009 11:50:26 -0800 - from Margie and John

Roxy

Hello Mag,

We adopted Roxy thru IMPS in April of 2005. It was love at first site for me when her Foster Mom brought her to our home to visit.... the Cats and the rest of our family.

She right away found the new bed I placed out for her and we found out she is not into.. puppy stuff like toys (Definiately a grown up girl). It's been a pleasure to have her with us. She used to bark at everyone when we got her, when we went on walks she was way out of control, barking at every person, dog, squirrel or the worst yet skateboarders I live next to a community college and so I took her at night when the people were few to get started on the training. Roxy progressed quickly and soon after daily walks was advanced to weekend days and now is able to walk among campus when school is on and busy. Its wonderful, as she gets many comments on her beauty and stunning looks. She adorns many surfer girl tanks and in the cool she has pretty sweaters to show off, and she does too.

She was a bit chubby when we got her but as all true minpin owners know they could eat and eat but their weight is important to maintain. Her foster Mom already had her on a diet of reduced comsumtion and she is still on watchful eating and now is a healthy gorgeous Min Pin of 8 years.I save out some pieces of her twice daily feeding and use that as "treats" to reward her for being good and doing tricks.

She loves to give us hugs and carrots are one of her favorite treats. I want to thank who ever gave her up as she was a good natured dog from a family it seems who could no longer take care of her and their new baby too. She was a gift to us and she sleeps with me every night and has every blanket in the house ready to snuggle under when we change rooms. I feel lucky and blessed for Roxy with back problems 5 years ago, she has helped me to heal and gave me a reason to walk. My husband has been walking her these days and he enjoys it daily too.

Roxy is our angel and we love her dearly. Oh and the cats... they all are friends now, it took about a month of room separation but we are one big happy family.

Much Love to IMPS, Roxy and her Mom and Dad,
Margie and John C.

Update on Bruzer

Bruzer

I just wanted to send a little update on Bruzer, formerly know as "Mickey". This dog is absolutely amazing =) he has become a perfect gentleman! I remember when we first met and he tried to bite everyone...scared and feeling alone, I presumed... But with exercise, discipline and lots of praise and love, he is doing fantastic!

We lost our little girl, Foxy, this year and Bruzer has made life without her a little easier.

The pics are from our trip to Idaho, and yes of course our boys came with us! Bruzer and his brother, Bailey had fun playing near the rivers and lakes all week long!

I just wanted to share, once again, how in love I am with this little guy! Min Pins rule...=)

All our best,
Jimmy, Jayme, Bruzer and Bailey

Shayna's story

shayna

Thu, 15 Sep 2011 00:57:26 -0700 - from Karen

August 6, 2009, Shayna came to live with me. She wasn't my first dog, but she quickly became a cherished part of my family.

Shayna means beautiful. She wasn't when I adopted her. She had been recovering from ringworm and was still a little bald in spots. But what she lacked in beauty, she made up in spunk and energy!

She's bright, impatient, extremely vocal, eager to be a part of everything that's happening.

Shayna has become a most cherished family member. She gets along with everyone, people or animal. Our household includes my first dog Jelly, a min pin/Chihuahua, Amber, a red min pin who came to us a year after Shayna, Muffin the guinea pig, and Kitty, the old cat.

Shayna and Muffin play together with Shayna climbing in Muff's cage to play. She also plays at night with Kitty; the only one of the dogs to do so.

Shayna has been to the ocean and has gone swimming at the lake wearing her life jacket. She is fiercely courageous, and very curious. She scouts the back yard eagerly checking the early morning and late evening smells.

Shayna loves to sleep under the covers, under couch blankets, and especially under my shirts when she's tired. She has the toys from her foster home as well as all the toys from my house. She has two favorites; one a baby toy her foster mom Diane gave her. The other an unstuffed grey elephant. Every night elephant comes to bed with Shayna, and we play before settling down to sleep. I love min pins. I love Shayna. I can't imagine not having her. She had grown into her name-- she's truly beautiful, and anyone who adopts a min pin is rewarded with the love and loyalty and entertainment that min pins bring.
