This is just a 'for fun' photo. I'm not a person who 'supports' clothing for animals, but
Jade gets cold in the barn with me when I'm working with the horses. My husband found this
ranch jacket for her. And...while Jade is definitely a cutie... I think the clothing wins the
cuteness award here.

One man comes in the name of love.
It was a warm October day in Tucson, AZ. I am a veterinary technician and
had just gotten off "one of those" night shifts, I was in no mood for more
euthanasia. I had also just lost the best lab/doberman mix the world has
ever known, my Dukeie.
I was in the vets office to pick up Dukes ashes. With the cedar box on the
counter, I had to sit down to compose myself. Sobbing again over dukes
loss, I looked up and saw a rather heavy set woman with a min pin on her
shoulder. Cute ears I thought to myself. Then I hear him growl and snarl.
The woman put the dog on the counter, almost knocking duke off the counter.
I could feel my anger building. That "thing" touched my duke. The woman
says to the receptionist. "I want to put this dog down". The girl, with a
horrified look, asked why. The woman told her the dog could not be shown,
he had a bad attitude, and he is costing her too much money to have around.
Being native american a feeling came about me that I know all to well. It
was the feeling of desperation originating from the min pin. He looked over
with a glare at me. As if to say, don't just sit there, rescue me stupid!
As the woman was filling out the paperwork, I was thinking to myself how to
best pull off a rescue. Images of duke as a puppy sneaking up to snatch
food off my plate where flashing in my mind. I said a quick prayer to put
my mind at ease.
I can't say for sure exactly what happened to me. Whatever it was, I had
very little control over it. I got up, walked over to the counter, bumped
the woman aside. Placing me between her and the dog. I grabbed the dog off
the counter, and said "this dog is under my protection and has a new home
now, mine". In a sweeping turn, I started to walk out the door. The woman
yelling something, didn't really care what.
A few hours later I received a call from the doctor to let me know he had
talked the police out of arresting me. By showing them the paperwork that
the dog had really belonged to the hospital after the woman signed the
forms. He offered me a free exam for the puppy. Since I had forgotten
Duke on the counter, me and the new puppy went in for a visit. He is in
perfect health, so we gave him his shots, and went home.
I got fired my next shift from the hospital I worked at. Doctors talk to
each other. When I came home. I looked at puppy and said "you cost me my
job". He looked at me as to say "so what, I will make it worth it". Then I
said to him "whats your name anyway?" He replied with "it's not puppy,
thatıs for sure. Call me Tic".
Tic has been worth it. He is full of energy, stubborn as all get out. He
is also a little love bucket. I can't say that he has replaced my Duke. No
dog can possibly do that. We are the best of friends. This time of year I
can say without any doubt. I am not alone. Tic has a new friend Skeeter, a
doberman. When they go to the door barking at someone, I show a great deal
of pride. These are my two best friends. They will defend me, love me, and
comfort me. I for them as well.
Happy holidays from Tic, Skeeter and Jeff, the silly human.

Hi, I'm fairly new to the minpin list, and I finally have some pictures of my minpin Mowgli that I'd like to share.
Mowgli loves to cuddle up in blankets.. this first picture is my favorite on of him just peeking out to see why someone was calling his name.
The second picture is of him attempting to destroy his rope toy.. the only toy we have found so far that he likes.
The third picture is of him laying on his new bed that he has stolen from my son.
Thanks so much.. I hope to have a web page for him up and running soon, so I will send the link to you when its finished
~Thanks again

This is our new baby Scooby-Lou. Her Dad was named Scooby-Doo so our 6 year old said she should
be named Scooby-Lou. She is 7 weeks old now and just precious. She loves snuggling up with our
Black Pug (who is a little overweight) as you can see from the picture, and loves to play with
our little Japanese chin. Between our Pug who out snores anyone and the cute little noises she
makes, we don't get very much sleep! I found this wonderful site through Nicole and David and
thought I would add ours too! Would love any advice about Min Pins! Scott, Julie and Brandon along
with Scooby-Lou, Pugster Knickerbocker and Mushu!

I am a new owner to a minpin 2 months ago and let me tell you my wife and I could not be
happier. I have seen different pics of how their ears looked cropped and the one I have looks a
bit different than I have seen. We got Angel when she was 2 months old and the ears and tail were
already done. Could you post a pic and get opinions what do you think of her ears. Do they appear
OK to you. I thank you for your time. She was born on November 30th of 2003.
Thanks again

Hello,
I recently found your great site while grieving for my minpin Jake who I lost after 12 awesome
years. He was my first minpin and we had a connection well beyond the definition of soul-mates.
He was the best, and will be very dearly missed.
Thanks Jeff

Dear Mag,
You have a wonderful site. I truly enjoyed all of the stories and photos.
We are the proud owners of Doby a 18 week old Min Pin. We adopted him from a
pet store in february, because I absolutely fell in love with him. We went in
to purchase crickets for my sons bearded dragon.
Sincerly,

Hello,
We adopted Bruiser, a ten year old min pin, just two days ago. We had been looking for a min pin
in need of a home for quite some time and finally got lucky. My five year old daughter, Tempestt,
and three year old son, Soren, fell in love with Bruiser instantly, as did I. I had read a lot about
min pins before getting him, and had read over and over that they do not do well with small children,
but in Bruiser's case this is not true. Of course, the children have been raised respecting animals,
and are kind to them. Bruiser is a delight to have around. He gets along with all of our many cats,
the rabbit, and our female standard poodle, Aspasia, but seems to be having problems with our male
standard poodle, Schopenhauer. Schopenhauer seems to like the tiny dog, but gets rather annoyed when
the Bruiser gets in his face and tries to push the 65 pound dog around. I am hoping that they will
accept each other in time, and without any fights. Even with the slight added tension, we are now a
very happy family. These photos show Bruiser right after we got him. Although he weighs a big 12lbs.
now, we are hoping that with better food, more exercise, and a lot more attention than he has
previously gotten, he with get to a healthier size soon. He was well loved at his old home, however
they didn't have a lot of time for him, and seemed to try and make up for it with food.

I thought I'd send these in just to show off my little mischievous Pinhead.
This is the wonderful dog who is always getting into something or has me
worried for one reason or another. One can definitely say life isn't dull
around here!
The first picture is of her playing with the koala I bought her. It was
taken seconds before she decided the camera was evil.
The next two pictures of are me and Sadie just sitting on the couch. LOL,
those were taken after she decided to stop playing with her toy and ran to
me because of seeing the evil camera that she thought was out to kill her.
Of course, I "saved" her from that!
The next one is of me attempting to hug Sadie, but when I put my head near
hers, she took the opportunity to lick my face. :) At least it wasn't right
on the mouth!
The last one is of Sadie on our patio .

I frequently visit your minpin archives just to get a
laugh at all the wonderful minpin photos. I love your
site. I'd like to share a few of my photos too if you don't
mind.
The first shot is of Rascal as a 3 month old pup. I
was on the "throne" and he decided to make himself
comfortable in my dropped drawers.
The second one is also of Rascal around 2-3 months
old. We decided to have fun with him but he didn't
seem too keen with the hat.
The third one is Mango, pictured here
with her new pups born on Memorial Day 2004.
These minpins are my companions day in and day out. We
now have 3. Like everyone else's pups I've read about on your
website, all of mine sleep under the covers with me in
bed. They're family!!!
I hope you will use my photos on your website too.
