This is Roxy in her "Bat Dog" costume for Halloween. She is now a very healthy 9-year old, and
thoroughly enjoys Halloween because she gets to bark herself hoarse at all the people coming to the
door, which only reinforces her sense of self esteem and supreme authority as Top Dog in town (she
once took out after a German Shepherd, very brave, not too smart, but she survived as the Shepherd
was merely amused by it all). Roxy is classic Min Pin... very feisty, lovable, energetic, and is the
terror of all the squirrels and chipmunks in Geneva, IL.
We have completely enjoyed viewing the many pictures in your website, and we hope you have room
for Roxy in this wonderful Min Pin pictorial collection.
Sincerely,

I need to share a story with other minpin owners, because I think only they can understand the
love we have for our little girl.
Rocco's Lil' Amber Pixie came into our lives 2 years ago. She was the most wonderful little dog
that God ever put into our lives. She slept with us, under the covers, of course.... she was always
right by my side, on my lap, even when I sat at the computer typing.... she was right there. She went
everywhere with us... to the store, camping (though this took some getting used to, but once she got
the hang of it, she couldn't wait to get there…get in the river, chase frogs and butterflies). She
was a loyal little girl, protecting us, even if it was from the leaves blowing in the yard. She
gave us so much love. Who would have ever thought that this tiny dog had such a huge heart, and
loved with every inch of it.
Well, last night 3 stray dogs showed up at our house…we live out in the country.... a rotweiller,
a weimeranner (I know that is spelled wrong!) and a little blue heeler mix. Being the kind of person
I am, and being angry at people dumping their dogs in the country, I fed them. I assumed that in
the morning they would be gone (bad assumption). Well, Pixie being the fierce protector that she
is (this is my theory as to what happened, as I was at work) was barking at the dogs outside, and
the strays, were able to push our back door open, and Pixie got out... and the dogs killed her. I am
just beside myself with grief, as is our whole family. On my way home from work (night shift) I was
thinking about going to bed and cuddling with her. Instead, I craddled her lifeless body, sobbing
helplessly. Our lives will never be the same. I miss her so much, I just cant even think straight.
I know that you all would understand the depth of love I have for this little one, and that she
had for us. Our house is empty without her. Even the cat, who was her best friend…is missing her. I
just needed to share with someone who understands. She wasn’t just a dog…she was part of our family.
We will always love her. And we will miss her forever.
Melissa

Hi Mag,
Could you please post these pictures of our minpin Koty? We do a lot of hiking with him and
wanted to show everyone that minpins love to hike. Some people think little dogs can't keep up,
but I think Koty could prove them wrong! He has hiked all the four thousand foot mountains in NH
(there are 48 of them)! The last picture is Koty with his new brother Rex, who we adopted from
Phyllis in CT. He really took to hiking too! Rex has his own great story, so I'll send that
separately.
Thank you,

Hi I am writing in hopes that you will post my story and my pictures of Coco on your website.
Coco was the perfect addition to our family. She was only four months old, when she left us to
Parvo. Coco was fiesty but sweet. She had so much energy. She would jump out of our windows to play
outside. The road is long without my precious pup. I miss her sleeping in my lap when I drive. I
miss her jumping on me in the morning to wake me up. I miss her sweet kisses. I miss her puppy dog
eyes. I loved Coco will all of my heart, and will forever miss and remember her. R.I.P my sweet
angel.

Hello all!
I'm a newbee to the list but absolutely love the wonderful pics of all the mini pins. This sight has been good therapy for me. Stories with happy endings and stories that are so heart wrenching . . . my daughter & I just CRIED at some of them, especially Annie & Lister. I hope Rascal's Mom doesn't mind but I have that sombrero pic as my wallpaper. Just way too funny.
I wanted to share the story of my little grandbaby Binks . . . a dog that completely stole my heart (and pretty much everyone else's) in the short time he was with us. He was named Binks after Jar Jar Binks in Star Wars because of his ears and was sometimes called Binky or Rinky because a well meaning friend got him a dog tag and the name was spelled as "Rinks" by mistake.
Binks was basicly rescued from life in a crate by my daughter's boyfriend and was about 6 mos old when he came to us. Now, I grew up with dogs around (a beagle named Bob & a brittany named Speck) but I never was a dog lover. In fact, when they first brought him for a visit I freaked out because I wasn't supposed to have animals in my apt without permission and I didn't want a deposit left. But I had to pet him and give him a little kiss when he peeked his little head out of my daughter's hooded sweatshirt. He was so sweet. Over time we bonded as he did with my daughter & countless others. For him, the sun rose & set on my daughter and vise versa. They were so suited for each other. I've read how a mini pin will take on the personality of it's owner and boy did Binks do that!!!
He attached himself to his "Gramma" and his "uncle" as well. He had a sister named Buttercup (a pit bull) and the 2 of them just adored each other. They played so well together. When they would come over to visit you could hear them running down the hall to our door wanting in. And when they got inside they would run for the couch to pounce on my son, licking and wagging their tails. The last time they came over together I was sitting at the computer when they tumbled in. I looked over at Binks and said "Well, excuse me?" He looked over at me, took off on a dead run and leaped on my chest, licking my face and wagging his tail just as fast as it would go. He was so happy to see me. Whenever my daughter was going to come over (they just lived a few blocks walk) she would get his leash, ask him if he wanted to go see Gramma and he was heading for the door.
He loved to do just about anything his humans could do. He was the helper in the kitchen, he would jump in the shower with my daughter (and almost did with me), he thought he was this big dog in this little dog body. (What's funny is that Buttercup thinks she's a little dog but in a big dog body!)
A few times my daughter came over and spent the night with me and Binks would sleep between us, trying to sneak under the covers. The last time when we woke he was totally out and curled up as close to me as he could get.
Unfortunately, when my daughter started working he didn't deal with it very well and one night some things happened at home and he got out of the house to go looking for his Mom. After several phone calls the next morning to animal control and a few other places we got a call from the humane society that our little Binky had been found but he'd been hit by a car and died. If there's a positive it's that he died instantly and that his body was knocked off the road where cars would hit him. The animal control officer that brought him in had to have someone else call us. He evidentally does min pin rescue and couldn't handle the call.
My daughter & I were just devastated. I'm surprised they could understand me when I called in to work for us to let them know she & I wouldn't be in. I still feel him riding around in the car with his Mom & Gramma. He liked to sun bathe and would lay in the back window of the car and watch me in the rearview mirror. Sometimes he would perch with his back feet on the back seat and his front feet on the box between the front seats so that he could be with us. There was a couple of times that he'd do this, lay his head against my arm as I was driving and just sigh. It's as if he was saying "I love you Gramma" and it would make me cry. I can still feel him sometimes riding around in the car with me and my heart feels so heavy with grief. I used to keep little treats & food for him in my glove compartment and I had to take them out after he was gone because we couldn't handle stumbling on them.
Buttercup has been lost as well but is doing better. Binks was always doing something to get her to play with him and when she would have a stick in her mouth she would keep thinking that Binks was going to come out of nowhere to grab the end to try and wrestle it from her mouth. One day she was in the bathroom when my daughter was getting ready for work and kept looking from the crate to her and back again as if to say "Well where is he?" (The crate was used for time outs when they did something they weren't supposed to and they understood.) My daughter got Binks collar & tags from the humane society and if Buttercup heard them she would come running thinking it was Binks. She wouldn't leave my daughter's side right after Binks left us, even if she was called.
My daughter has other pics of our baby and I'd like to send them to share when she gets them developed. Binks gave us so much in the very few months he was a part of our lives. He gave his heart to us with loads of love and kisses and stole our hearts to make them his own. We're now at a point where we both would like another dog, a min pin of course. The animal contol officer offered to let us have one of his rescues when we're ready to handle it and we both want to take him up on his offer. My daughter called and left him a message to thank him for all he'd done for Binks.
I hope you don't mind how long this is but after reading through all that has been posted on this site I knew there would be those who would understand our feelings and our grief. Thank you for that.

Mag,
I just found your wonderful doggie site and all your work has melted my heart!!! I just would
love to share my photos with you and whom ever else that may enjoy them. My family and I are the
proud owners of two min-pins, Chopper and Bailey!!! They both are under one year old and are a hand
full. We battle with the little attitudes that come with the little bundles of joy, peeing on the
furniture when they are mad at us, and surviving the long cold days of Fairbanks Alaska. I'm happy
to see there are people out there that want to share their little critters also. I think all my
friends and co-workers are tired of me showing off my dogs!! Thank you very much and take care.
Hope you enjoy,

Hello! I just love it when I find a site that has pictures of Min Pins!
I thought I would share pictures of my baby. This is Tut - he's two
years old and quite the hand full. In September - while I was in the
hospital - he got away from my brother and his wife (who were kindly dog
sitting) - and went on an adventure for 5 days. He was found - 3 pounds
lighter - with a broken pelvis. After 12 weeks of cage rest (these
pictures were taken on week 8) - he's back to normal. I just wanted to
show him off. I think he's adorable - can you tell I'm a proud mom?
Have a very Merry Christmas!

Hi everyone, Here are some photos of our three year old min pin. We adopted Edie from a rescue
group last January. She had been abused, neglected and left in a cat crate in someone's backyard.
Fortunately, a neighbor called for help and Edie was given a second chance! She required two knee
surgeries and lots of love to learn how to trust people. She has recently attended doggie school
and learned manners, tricks and, of course, craftier and even sneakier "pin" behavior. Edie is
also a wonderful travel dog. She has been with us on trips to New Mexico, Oregon, New York and
many states in between as we visited our family. As you can see, she had a wonderful first Christmas
with us! We love her and are glad to share these to celebrate her first year in her forever home!
