Hi Mag,
Here are pictures from Dakota's mom the dog who traveled from Florida to
Vermont with Kris. He looks like he is very comfy in his new home!!!
Katie
Merry Christmas!
Dakota and LuLu are doing very well. Here are a few pictures. They are
snoozing on their new Christmas present dog beds.
Dakota went to the vet last week and is now caught up for sure with a rabies
and a 3rd booster on that dhllp (sp?).
Thank you again for all your help.

I got a great note and this picture of Eden in a Christmas card from her new
mom, Marci.
Marci writes: "Sue & Family, I can't thank you enough for letting me adopt
Eden. I love her so very much, and so do the kids. OH! My customers go crazy
over her also. She's such a good girl, and such a great companion for me
while we're at work together. Have a great Christmas". She says the picture
is of Eden getting ready to decorate for Christmas and put the tree up!
The little balloon on the picture says "Hi Mom #2, I love my new home!"
I am just so tickled about this adoption, and this picture and note made my
Christmas this year.

These are pictures of my Fritz. They were taken with a web cam, so they are grainy, and I
apologize for that. Feel free to adjust them however you need to. We got Fritz in June of 2000.
He was 6 months old. Cherie brought Fritz, then Guido, and his sister to visit us. As David and
Cherie were filling out the paperwork for his sister, he grabbed a toy and plopped down in my
lap. That clinched it. I had him in my arms when Cherie left. He watched her walk out the door,
as she closed it he looked at me and sighed. It was as if he were saying "Ok, now what?" He
never once whined, or cried. We took him to the pet's store to buy his food that night, and the
clerk commented that he (Fritz) seemed to act as if he'd been with us forever. The first night
that we had him he fell off the bed 3 times. Just rolled right off and thud. He is my heart, and
I'm so glad that Cherie decided to adopt to us. Thank you so much Cherie! David and I will always
be in your debt, because without this little guy our lives would not be complete. ~Rachel

Hi Mag, This came from the lady that adopted Nibbles last week.
She is a wonderful girl. She is
funny, cuddly, talkative, sweet,
and soooo much company.
She was a rescue dog from IMPS
and now a part of my life, and I am
very grateful.
Love,

Hi Cherie,
Just thought I would drop you a note a let you know how my little princess
Katie is doing. Well, she's got to be one of the happiest little dogs I
have ever seen. Every morning she crawls out from under my covers to have
her morning "playtime". She lies on her back and chews on my fingers (while
she is holding them with her paws)...then back under the covers to "wash my
feet" (while she holds them with her paws). Then out for her morning combo
pee/dump (no mistakes...she's perfect). Then scrambled eggs for Sam and
Katie.
She is really getting used to having people around and loves to go for a
walk to the park (as long as Sam is there for protection....now that is
funny!) She lets people pet her, but still tends to be a little skittish.
My vet Kevin adores her...she doesn't even mind when I take her to have a
pedicure. I put her on the super duper heart worm medication that covers
intestinal worms...etc. cuz this little girl will eat anything she
finds...brought in some nice "worm jerky" to nosh on the other day...my
mother quickly exchanged it for a cookie...yuck!
Loves bugs...plays with them before snacking.
When I get some new pictures scanned I will send them to you. Please let
everyone know how well she is doing. She holds a very special place in our
hearts.
Hope all is well with you and Angie.
All the best,

Well today I have gotten another reason on why I do rescue. Last night got an
email from a lady in Tampa who has spotted a min pin sitting on the front
porch of a boarded up house 3 days ago. For 3 days she has been trying to
catch this min pin which sits on the porch for sun and then goes under the
house in to the dirt crawl space. Yesterday her 13 year old daughter crawled
in there and got a choker around her to get her out but she backed out and
then went into a far corner in a hole and they couldnt get her. They were
watching animal planet yesterday and saw a piece on rescue groups so the lady
went to the computer typed in min pin rescue and up we popped so she emailed
Cindy and I right away.
Meanwhile about 2 or 3 weeks ago I had gotten a call from a Lady who's
fathers red female had bolted out the door at her sisters house when they
came for a visit and was missing. Red spayed female cropped and docked and
fat about 6 yrs old.
This Morning I was awakened by Carol on the phone (the lady who emailed about
the min pin) and she told me where the house was and that she would meet me
there so we could try to get this girl out. At 9:30 I met her and i was
crawling around in this very nasty scary dirt crawl. I got about half way to
the dog and the flashlight went dead and I got out. I am very afraid of small
places and i hate bugs so this wasnt my favorite thing to do. I could see the
dog but didnt think I could get to her. We had food, crates, nets, blankies
and even a catch pole I borrowed from my vet. So I called my friend Scott an
electrician who is not afriad to get bit by a dog and out he came. In shorts
and flip flops he put on some gloves and went right in and got the dog who is
very frightened and snapping. The lady who found her was so thrilled she gave
Scott $60.00 for going in to get her and wrote IMPS a donation check for
$100.00. I did try to recruit her and she said when her 3 yr old daughter
gets a bit older she would love to but until then she will give us financial
support etc. She owns a min pin herself!! And THANK GOD for Scott and his
fearlessness!!!
So off to the vet we go. Fallon (named after Carol's daughter) checks out
pretty good even though we were both filthy. She has been bitten by a small
animal but not badly. She is hw negative, fecal negative and other than a
skin infection she looks pretty good. She seems to have had a recent dental
and has a scar most likely from knee surgery on left rear leg. She is also
spayed. I think, great that scar will be good for identification.
I get home and call the lady who called me two weeks ago and we talk. I asked
if the dog has any scars or markings that would stand out and she said yes
she has a scar on left rear leg from knee surgery!!! So I said I think i have
your dog and tell her the story. Where the dog got loose from is relatively
close to where the condemed house was that she was found.
This lady is going to be coming over at 6:30 with pictures to see if this is
her fathers dog. The father lives up in Ocala and is on his way down to come
over with his daughter to see if this is his dog Bitty Bit.
Then I took a shower cause I was NASTY and then gave Fallon/ Bitty Bit a
bath. She is still very scared and shaking. Bitty Bit has been gone since
July 8th so if this is her I am sure shes been thru alot.
So now that we are both clean we are relaxing waiting to see the outcome. I
get so tired of the OGU excuses and THIS is why I like rescue!! This dog is
one that needed rescue and I sure do hope she is Bitty Bit!!
Will let you all know what happens tonight

cam to life. So happy!!! They cried and I cried and now all is well in the
world for this little dog today!!! Bitty bit has been gone 21 days and went
quite a good distance. THIS is what its all about!!! The power of prayer and
hope is truly amazing!!!

the pony tail and the guy next to me is our friend Scott who I called to crawl under the house
when I wimped out. (Lance and I made him dinner for his heroic efforts).

Hi Mag,
Louie is part of the family. Freddie and I love him totally. He is the sweetest, funniest
little dog. Everyone who meets him loves him. He has not had even one "accident" in the house
but oh, does he destroy toys!!!
Poor Freddie never wrecked one of her toys and Louie can annihilate a toy in minutes. It's
OK, we still love him. And now we get to buy new toys all the time!
Louie was supposed to start obedience classes tomorrow, but I seem to have screwed up the date
and found out registration was on Sept. 9th. So I'm waiting to hear if we can do late
registration, or we will look into another obedience class I read about through the new
Millennium Dog Park. He is really quite smart. He already knows sit, lie down and automatically
sits before I give him his food. "Stay" will definitely be a challenge for him!
