Mag,
I have attached 3 jpgs of the IMPS Poster I threw together for what we
thought would be some promotion of our cause at the MPCA Nationals in
Orlando. Please post it to the web site for all to see.
You may or may not know that MPCA is now giving us some difficulty about
promoting ourselves at their show. But, like they say, "It ain't over until
the fat lady sings!" (No offense taken by anyone please)
The first is of the entire poster, but you can't see it too clearly, so I
took two more, one of each half. I included every rescue photo from the web
that you were kind enough to send me and any photo's that were sent to me via
snail mail.
I apologize to any of our Angels out there, who don't see their fur babies
photo's on the poster and again if I got any of the names wrong.
I hope you all like it.

Since several of our members are going to the Nationals in Florida, I decided
to make a pin for each person so we can recognize each other.
The pins are nothing fancy, they are plastic and have the IMPS logo (Listers
head) in the center.
They ended up costing about $2.00 each for the supplies and snail mailing.
(Up to 4 pins in one envelope)
So, anyone interested, check the web site. Then e-mail me with
the number of pins you would like and your snail mail address. Once you
receive the pins, you can send payment to me.
If anyone thinks this is not a good idea, I would like to hear that also.
Thanks,
Nancy G.

I know some people are waiting to see photos from Orlando, and I am working
on them and will send them to Mag real soon, but I had to put this on the
list.
I think this photo just says it all!
Nancy
Sorry Petie, but just had to do it. (It is Rie Shields and her rescue dog
Heidi and although she was not an IMPS rescue, she did us proud at the show!)

Dawn and I have been talking about another fund raiser and came up with a
Bandanna. If you remember Rie Shields' photo from the Orlando Nationals with
Heidi, Heidi had a bandanna on that said Thanks IMPS.
Well, we kind of copied the idea and came up with two different bandannas.
If your dog was an IMPS rescue, the bandanna would read. Dogs name, followed
by "I was rescued by IMPS. Thanks IMPS!" If not a rescue it would be, Dogs
name, followed by "I have friends who were rescued by IMPS. Thanks IMPS!"
The bandannas are made of white or natural material, depending on what color
I can get. (Sometimes I can only get the Natural) The writing would be
available in Red, Blue, Green or Purple. They do not tie around the neck,
but they slip over the dogs collar, therefore they will fit all sizes of
Minpins, and we know they come in all sizes!
Each bandanna would be customized with your dogs name. We will be asking $10
per bandanna ($12 for the large size) The cost of supplies and mailing will
be around $3, so for every bandanna IMPS will receive $7.
In order to cut down on the work Susan has to do, and keep all the orders
correct with the customizing we would like all orders to be sent to me via
SNAIL MAIL. Included with your check, we will need the correct spelling of
your dogs name, the color ink, size (minpin or large) and whether or not
he/she is a rescue.
We made up a few this weekend and while we were at Petie's, we took a group
shot of the dogs with theirs on. Of course we turned the bandannas around so
you could see them, so they do look like bibs in the photo. I will be
sending this photo along with a close up of the bandanna to Mag so she can
post it to the web site. (Until that time if anyone would like it sent to
them, e-mail me privately and I will forward the JPEG.)
Anyone interested can send their check, made out to me, along with the
requested information to:
Nancy Giammusso
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. And don't forget,
any purchases are now deductible due to our 501c status.

Hi everyone,
Vince & I and our three, well behaved Minpins just returned from spending a
long weekend in Mass. with Dawn, Skootchie, Millie, Captain & Tenille (SP?).
Poor Dawn, I think she will need to take a week off just to recover from the
Giammusso invasion! VBG
This was the first long trip with all three monsters and the 5+ hour drive
there on Friday at 3:30 AM was interesting. Just sit back and imagine 3
minpins whining and crying every few minutes for most of the ride, and you
will know what I am talking about.
Once we arrived, all three of them decided they had to make their marks, so
they all pooped on Dawn's floor. That was only the first time :-(
My three got to meet a cat (make that two) for the first time, up close and
personal. Dawn's cats were the most tolerant ones I have ever seen. Max &
Dallas didn't pay much attention, but Nikki was in Heaven. Nikki had found
two bosom buddies. So close were they, that Nikki tried to make babies with
them. Captain finally had enough and swatted her away, but that just made it
into a wrestling match. What a kick to watch the two of them.
(For Full Size pic - click here or on pic)
One of the reasons we went was to help Dawn at a pet expo called Pet Rock.
This was an Animal Rescue, Animal Rights, Cruelty Awareness gathering in
Shrewsbury, Mass. on Sunday.
We put together a brochure about IMPS, printed up some of the forms from the
website, redid the original poster from Florida, got some goodies for
giveaways and set out to promote our cause. I may be biased, but I think we
did a darn good job!
(For Full Size pic - click here or on pic)
Dawn made contact with a few local people interested in adoption and even a
few that took volunteer applications.
We learned a lot for future Expos. (Like easy ways to get donations, etc.)
So I think we would do at our next one. We did get some donations. Even a
few kids put change in the barrel.
All in all it was a good experience. (They even clipped Max & Dallas' nails
for us, and neither of them squirmed! They wouldn't move to NJ for us, so I
guess we will have to go back to Mass again. That is if Dawn will put up with
us again!!!)
(For Full Size pic - click here or on pic)
Dawn was great, she put up with Vince's constant teasing like a trooper.
Next time she should just punch him in the jaw. (Come to think of it, I
think she already got him back. Every time Millie would jump on the couch,
she always landed in a sensitive spot of Vince's. That's what I call good
training)
I will be forwarding this post to Mag along with the photos. Anyone
interested in the brochure, it is a Word Perfect document, so if you can view
that format send me private mail and I will forward it to you.

Well I am sure I disappointed everyone, but we missed half the national so
we didn't get many photos. But here's what we have.
The first set is from the awards banquet. The Badgerland Miniature Pinscher
Club gave IMPS a Certificate of Achievement and 20 coupons for 440 lbs. of
dog food for our contribution to the breed. The food coupons are being
distributed among the Regional Coordinators. Anyone who would like to thank
Nicole Baron and the Badgerland Club can write to Riodobe@aol.com It was
very generous of them to give this to us.
It was great to get to meet Liz and Judy Peters and to see Wendy again. We
look forward to next year in Phoenix. I hope to meet Wendy (Colorado) and
anyone else that is in the Phoenix area there.

A bit of background info: Toni works at a sign shop and wanted to contribute to the IMPS
cause! As a result, IMPS now has a banner!! These banners will be distributed to the various
IMPS Regional Coordinators, to be used at shows, expo's, etc...
