This is little sweet "Demi Tasse". I've had the pleasure of meeting Demi and her great mom,
Barbara, who has joined IMPS-Louisiana! Demi came from a puppy mill in Sulphur, Louisiana. She
was the smallest of the group of pins and Barb felt the most needy. When Barbara drove to get
Demi, she was actually horrified when she saw the living conditions that these minpins had to
endure. Demi seemed to be the minpin that needed the most care, and since she was not able to
get them all, she grabbed her little Demi and she never looked back. Demi was strictly used to
have a litter of puppies every time she went into heat. Demi endured these conditions for three
years until Barb rescued her. She is now living the life of Riley - truly - and is spoiled
rotten! She never has to worry about ever having puppies again and she now has a warm bed and a
warm hand to touch her every single day. She's just the cutest little thing and means the world
to Barb!!! Thank you Barb for granting me permission to post these pics and I'm so very happy to
have you assist me with the homeless pins in Louisiana. Barb is one special lady!

I would like to introduce everyone to Mandy. Mandy was brought into IMPS in August of 2002 when her owner purposely dropped her off at a dog park in New Orleans, Louisiana. Fortunately, I had friends there who witnessed this horrible tragedy and thankfully, when night fell, brought Mandy to their home. I brought Mandy to another IMPS volunteer, Barb, who was going to foster her. When Barb brought Mandy for her vet visit, she was heartworm positive and weighed in at 19.8 pounds. She had the saddest brown eyes we've ever seen. Barb did a terrific job with Mandy, not only pulled her through the heartworm treatment, but also showed her what true love really was, and helped her lose the unwanted pounds. When Mandy was adopted by a great family in GA, she not only was a healthy and loving dog, her eyes were not sad, and her weight was down to 14 lbs. She looked TERRIFIC. A wonderful family, all the way in Georgia, contacted Barb regarding Mandy. The Long family fell instantly in love with Mandy and knew she was the dog that they wanted to add to their family. I had the pleasure in November, 2002 of meeting Joyce, Syndey and Spencer when we met in Jackson, MS for Mandy's adoption. Not only did the family arrive to adopt Mandy, the Long Family's grandparents met us also (they drove in from AL) so that they would be there to see their grandchildren with their first dog. This is one terrific family.
This is Morgan, Spencer (holding Mandy) and Sydney. Barb has kept in contact with Joyce and the kids, and all are doing so very well with Mandy. As you can see, Mandy is loving every second. Spencer and Mandy have a very special bond, matter of fact, Joyce has reported that her husband Mike often refers to them as "a boy and his dog". Mandy also goes on daily morning walks with her new mom Joyce, and Mandy loves every bit of all her attention.
And I just had to share this wonderful picture of Mandy and Syndey. Syndey is five years old and loves Mandy dearly. She was just so excited to meet her and these pictures tell the tale. We, at IMPS, are so very fortunate to find this terrific family for Mandy. They truly were meant to be together!
THANK YOU Joyce, Mike, Syndey, and Spencer for adopting Mandy and giving her the life she so much deserves.

I just wanted to share this beautiful pic of my Bambi. Bambi came into my life four years
ago this month, she was my very first foster when I joined IMPS. Bambi was severely abused,
but from day one, she accepted me into her life and became a part of my family. She is now 8
years young, and even though she still has the battle wounds from her previous life, she is a
beautiful girl, and I couldn't imagine a day without her. She puts a smile on my face everyday.
I joined IMPS for a reason, Bambi needed me and I didn't even know it. We all say "things
happen for a reason", and I'm here to prove it. So everyone, I hope you enjoy this pic as
much as I do. She's taught me a lot in four short years, and I look forward to each and
everyday she's in my life.
