Hi mag!!
Here are some cute photos I took yesterday. We picked up Kiko from a
home that wasn't working out. She is being fostered by Kathi. That is
Dalton, her son, holding Kiko. They are a really nice family and
Dalton always wants to keep ALL the fosters!!! The other photo is Kathi and
her two, Rico and Romeo!! They are wicked cute, eh?!!

Hi mag!!
Here are two photos I sent in to our local pet store's Halloween Costume
contest!! Is this not the cutest boy??? I think he was very proud of himself
that he would stay for me with all that on him!!! The girls were just too
proud to even put that stuff on!! They just wouldn't have it without looking
totally degraded. Roscoe, on the other hand, thought this was very cool and
posed for me perfectly!!!

Hi Mag,
I thought you would love this one. I adopted Zeik just about a year and a
half ago when he was 8 months old. I adopted him from Pat D. who was
the Massachusetts Regional coordinator. Zeik is now 2 years old and happily
married. Zeik married Nikki on October 20, 2001 at the Boston Pet Expo. We
were there with our training school MasterPeace Dog Training doing agility
demos. The person that ran the pet expo thought they would be cute getting
married. Well I am now very relieved that my furbabies are no longer living
in sin and are a happily married couple. They didn't go on a honeymoon
because they are on a honeymoon every day of their lives at home. Anyway I
thought you would like to post the picture on the page.
Thanks,

Hi Mag it's Buddy's mom again. Well buddy and I went to the pet expo in
Hartford CT. on Sunday, 11-11. Guess who we met, Sue Q. she is a
volunteer for imps. She had Rockie with her. He is a foster MAYBE. he was
very abused when she got him. He had been in over three homes so far the
last one kept him in a crated 24/7 never cleans up the poop poops. Rockies
is sooo cute I know she will never give him up. I think he has found the
perfect home with Sue I know he is a soul pet and she just loves him to
much, I hope so.

Hi mag!!
Here is a professional photo I had done this fall. I don't really like it
and will probably try again when she comes back in March. She rolled up the
black background and it was in a big pile above their heads. Jess was sure
it was going to come crashing down on her and was freaked out!! You can tell
by her ears that she isn't very comfortable. And my sister thinks Roscoe
should be lying down so his private doesn't show!! LOL!! She is such a
priss!!! Jess really should be lying down, she just towers over the
MinPins!! Anyway, it is still a pretty good photo and I thought worthy of
sending for the site.
As usual, thanks for posting all these!!

This is Hanna, a dog we adopted out this week. The family just loves her.
Isn't she just the prettiest girl!! Her old owners got a puppy and after a
year Hanna just couldn't take it. So...they "throw out" the "old" dog!! She
is seven years old!! I think there were other issues in the house!!

Hi mag!!
I just finished painting one of
Michele's cutouts
with the likeness of my Colby. It doesn't come out totally like her since the shape of her
head is different, but it is her "evil" eye, for sure!! Anyone wanting this done of
their dog can email me privately.
Thanks,

mag,
I was asked to pass this along for the web site. Cute story!!
Dear MaryBeth,
Winnie is the greatest! We have had her for almost four months now,and she
is the queen of our home. When we adopted her, there were some concerns with
house breaking and timidness ( especially with men ).
I found no issues with Winnie, as she not only trained immediately (within
48 hours) to go outdoors, but also trained to use a specified area of our
yard. She is a very smart dog, and yes, you can teach an older dog new
tricks. She is still a bit timid, but reacts very well with all people.
I am amazed with her intelligence. Winnie is definitely my dog, where I
go she follows, but loves attention from everyone.
She has brought such love and companionship into our home, that I truly
believe that providence brought us together. I could really just talk about
her forever ( and sometimes do), for she has so many ways of letting you
know exactly what is on her mind. Winnie does NOT lack communication
skills....... LOL Her poise and sweetness grab all who meet her.
So, MaryBeth, I believe a great match was made. I know you will be very
impressed with Winnie's progress. Feel free to use any part of this letter
for the success story site, as I believe no one could be as happy with
their pet as I am with Winnie. I take Winnie out all the time. She has learned
to frolic and play outside. She loves hide and go seek. we really have fun!
Take Care and Hope to talk with you soon!
Lynne

Hi Mag,
Here are a few pictures of our first foster boy Dino. He was a joy to have. When we got him
he was heavier and has lost some weight since. It's a good thing I don't have a lot of land I
would probably keep him and any others that come along the way. The tall boy on the end is my
Zeik which I adopted a year ago and the little squirt on the other side of Dino is my PINcess
Nikki. They were very good with Dino allowing him into their home and they treated him well. It
made it easier for me to be able to have a foster and also do it again. I was nervous that they
wouldn't let him do anything but I think I underestimated my furbabies.
Here are a few pictures of Dino at his new home....
The man with him on the floor is his Papa and the woman on the floor with him is his Mama.
Dino has the purple collar on and his new brother Ceasar is the one with the black collar on.
Thank You,

Hi mag!!
This is Matte, Maine dog who had spent her first 8 years in a kitchen with
free choice food and papers. She ATE all day, I think because her proper
weight would be 6lbs and she was 13lbs!!! YIKES!! Melanie has her down to
9lbs and still working on it, but this was a very frightened, nervous little
girl. She started Agility last night to boost her self confidence!! It was
really great watching her gain confidence as the class went on!! She quickly
learned that there was FOOD at the end of the obstacle and that was WELL
worth her attempt!!! Basically, all she gets are carrots for treats which
she loves, because they are better than nothing. So, REAL treats (of course,
non-fat turkey hot dogs!!) were well worth her efforts!! Very cute little
girl!!!
Thanks, Amy IMPS Maine

mag,
Here are some photos of Jess and Colby doing agility. Don't you just LOVE
the one of Colby coming out of the poles!!?? She LOVES poles!!!
Both dogs ran clean that show, but were over time because they didn't want
to lie down on the table!! Took 7 seconds to get them down!! ARGH!! Gotta
practice the table more!! :)

Hello all!
It was just brought to my attention by myself that I never ever have
posted our Stuart Pin to the list! Well, here goes!
My boyfriend Mike and I, adopted Stuart (at the time Bailey, before that
Zeke) in Feb of 2002. He had been adopted through IMPS just a few
months prior to that. Why they gave this doll up is beyond us!!
He's perfect. Perfectly perfect.
-Laura, Boston,MA
Here he is...
Feb, 2002.
One sad little me walks into the Brockton MSPCA with my person. My person walks out without me! Eeeek!
I see a scary guy in a uniform (how am I to know he is a Humane Officer? All I know is that he is BIG and scary to little me!) I snap at him. A lot.
All of a sudden, I am at a lady named Dawn's house, with all these other animals! There's a Skootchie and a Freddie and a Captain and Tenielle and also a Millie...she was real big. They all tell me this is a nice place for Pins, cause that shelter place was scaaaaaaaaaaaaary (but the people were all real nice).
A few days later, this girl and this guy came to the door. Oh boy oh boy I think...I bet these are the forever family things Dawn keeps telling me about!! I hop up and down with all my might, yipping and yipping and ears a flapping (I have those grrrreat Pin ears...I hear we're rare!) Pick me! Pick me! I say. The lady and the guy sit down on the couch and boom! Up I go, right onto the couch, right in between. I like them, they smell nice, like cats.
Bam...I'm in a car, riding to a place called home. They gave me a tag with a phone number on it, and it says STUART, 'cuz that's me.
July, 2002
Now, I go fishing with daddy in the woods, and I get to sleep under the covers whenever I want, and I have *three* cats to love. And a turtle too! My mommy works at the MSPCA in Boston, so she takes me to play with doggies a lot. And I have a best pal Sydney the Cocker, who lives downstairs. I get yummy food, and all the toys in the world (except I don't ever haven't ever played with a single toy ever). We live just four blocks from the beach, so I get to take Mom and Dad walking and splashing all the time! And you know what? I like to swim! I like it here. A lot.
And you know what else? I'm even friends with that big scary Humane Officer person now J
Love, Stuart.

Hi mag!!
Here are some current photos of my crew!! First one is me and Rich. I made
that into a mother's day card for my Mom!! The next one is Roscoe and Jess
on the patio!! Notice only two beds, well if Colby ever took a break from
mole hunting to rest in a bed I would rush her to the Vet's thinking
something must be wrong with her!! LOL!! She is on constant "mole alert"!!! The next one is all three on the stone wall. I just like that shot of our
little garden and patio!! And then there is Colby hunting moles!! LOL! My
poor garden is so full of holes!!
Thanks!!!
