PART 1
Hi All

I thought now was a good time to tell how and why I got involved with IMPS.
Years ago I was what most of you call a BYB. I had a male and female doberman that had my one and only litter of pups. I delivered all these babies myself as the mother would try to run each time one was born. There were 10 pups and despite my mouth to snout breathing the first little boy died. I had to tear all the sacks and cut and tie the cords. I know this is easy for some ,but for a frist timmer and last it was a real experience for me. Tina the mother, stopped feeding them when they were just 1 day old so I tude feed them then bottles. When we went to bottles some were smaller than other so some needed larger holes in the nipples than other. I was spending most of my time feeding pups.3 B/T 6 reds. When I sold these pups they all left my house with a health guarentee a terry cloth house shoe a bed and food and a copy of there pedigree. And never again did I are want to do the puppy thing. One of the B/T males ended up being a really neat guy and went for his CD at the Houston show. Naturally I went to see him and at the same time I saw my frist Min.Pin.
This was almost 18 years ago and I have always wanted one ,but I still had Dobies and have a dobie now. My X daughter in law (that we never got along) seems to do everything I have always wanted to do) got a Min Pin. I am raising her and my sons 3 kids and she breed this little dog and told the kids they could have a pup. Right this was going to be my dog as the kids already had 2 dogs here that I took care of. So at exactly 6 weeks old here comes this tiny little man 1 !/2 pounds handed to me and said good ridance the worst of the lot. Being as I had this dobie named Doc and for some reason I like the names to match I named him Soc. My hubby always said he didn't like little dogs (what a joke) so I decided this would be a BAD A-- so he would like him. He is gone most of the time for work so I had plenty of time. Soc did everything with me and at night before we went to sleep being as he was so hyper we would play fight. He loved this and as we know a minpin will not back down. He grew to be a whooping 7 lbs and the dobie and him were the best of friends. He always went outside did his thing and was back in the house in no time. One day I went to the door and no dog. I looked the rest of the day and at 10 pm that night a neighbor called to tell me he was at her house. Here we go as fast as I could and he was laying on top of the picnic table just waiting for her dog to stand up.

PART 2
when last we talked Soc was laying on top of the picnic table. Seems my neighbors dog was in heat. Well when you can't walk anyway the last thing you want to do is go peal a horney little man off picnic tables at 10 at night. So next morning we were of for a nip and a tuck. I might ad that my X daughter in law worked for a vet and the vet and her both thinks she knows as much as he does. She would do all his ear crops of course with him in the room with her. So Soc was docked cropped tail and all shots and had never cost me a penny. On the other hand I would have hocked my house if this little man had needed it. I brought him home the next day and he wouldn't even look at me.I took away his manhood how dare I. I had taken a picture of him in what I call flashing (laying on his back) before he had the surgery so we would always no what a little man he had been. I told him I would have the picture blown up for him in memory of and of course I just got one of those El Stupio is at it again looks. Now I don't know the difference in a red and a stag red but I new he was red. My dobie's were alway a b/t and a red as I had always had two. When my husband came home and met Soc for the first time I had told him to watch it cause this was diffently my dog and he wouldn't take kindly to strangers. Which he didn't at all he never barked or bit but we had this thing when a stranger came to the house. I would tell him there's a booger at your house watchem Soc and he was right there with a look in his eye that would have put a wrestler on his knees but being as my husband has that same natural way with animals as my grandson does Soc was in his lap before I new what was going on and it was love in bloom. When he was home he was no longer my bed parnter he was on his side cuddleing with him. When he had to leave Soc didn't eat for two days. This was always Doc's reaction when Lester left but in no way did I think Soc would be upset.

PART 3
will it was back to the old routine. Just me and Doc,Soc and my two grandsons. I heard (from my son) about something called Web TV now I had always wanted a computer so my son took me shopping. He was showing me how this TV thing worked and I just kinda disappeared on him. When he finally caught up to me I had bought a complete pc system. We brought it home and he hooked it all up for me and showed me how to get on and off the internet. The rest I have pretty much taught myself. Well being the dog person I am I went straight to pets and found the minpin boards. I wanted a b/t male to go with Soc so I posted a note. Now as most of you know my Nick came from Robin in Tx. I talked to here serval times via pc and decided Nick was the one I wanted. We made plans to meet her and her husband on the following Sunday. I had asked if she thought I should bring Soc and she said it was best for me to meet Nick alone and give him a chance to check me out. On Wednesday morning I decided to sit down and watch the movie I had bought and Soc was in my lap. He decided about half way through the movie he needed to potty so I let him out the door and took a potty breaks myself. Not more than 5 min's later I went to let him in and no dog. I live on 5 acres out in the boonies and away from any major road and I looked for this little dog way into the night. In fact everyone was looking for him. It looked like what you see on TV when a child is missing and folks fan out and walk the woods searching. Next morning I made up flyers and put them within a ten mile radius. I put adds in both papers and I even got on pc and wrote everyone a note that had a computer in Tomball and Magnolia. I went to the shelters and I must have put 500 miles on my truck driving around. I never found Soc. It was garbage day when this happened and I know they came while I was in the bathroom. This is a private trash collecter but if I could find out where he lived I would still to this day go over there. Anyway I crird so much and I told my son I didn't want to go and get Nick. He kept saying oh Mom go get him Soc will be back and everything will be alright. I said no I am not going. Robin doesn't know this but he sent her an email telling her what had happened and he didn't know if we would still be coming. The next morning I had changed my mind and he deleted the email before she had read it. I picked up my Nick (the nasty little urchin) and by the time we got home we had bonded real well. I love him to death but a peice of my heart will always be with Soc where ever he may be. Now back on pc and I see the post about the girls and new right away I wanted them to. So now I have my 3 stooges. I had had the girls for quite some time and I noticed that there names were still on the board. I had told this lady that kinda was the boss when Angela brought them to me, but they never came off. So that is when I wrote to Liz and told her I had the girls and to please put me on the mailing list and that I wanted to foster. I love this group and doing the foster work but one thing for sure. If I ever run across a tiny red male like Soc he will already have his new home you won't have to worry about finding him one.Thats my story folks. I am so pleased that I found all of you and so happy that I have the chance to help these little ones out. I am going to send a picture of Soc to Mag so everyone can see what my Soc looked like. Thanks for taking the time to read my story. Patti
