Hi, I just wanted to send you a picture of my foster Min Pin, now newly adopted family member. Vinnie, aka Victor. As you can see he fits right into the household of dogs that I currently have, of which 4 of the 7 are rescues. I plan on training and showing Vinnie along with my other dogs in Agility. Right now I'm very excited, he shows allot of promise. Not to mention how beautifully he has adjusted to my large dog home. Not only does he have the companionship of my 6 other dogs, he travels to shows with me on the weekends. And goes to work with me every day. He gets daily one on one play/training time with me, and a large yard to stretch those long legs. He is by my side 24/7.
Thank you to everyone at the Min Pin rescue for all the work your doing.
Kim W

Hi Mag – here is Chub's latest photo.... This was taken on our Three Dog Bakery adventure. The folks at Three Dog are wonderful to IMPS, allowing us to be the recipient of the donations whenever photos are taken. The photographer donates $3 per sitting so Chubby gets to make a guest appearance and boss a bunch of dogs around, I get to speak about rescue and spay/neutering, and IMPS gets a donation. This year 3 Dog donated bags of goodies for me to give to employees of animal control – I thought that was one of the nicest gestures in a long time. Many folks mistakenly believe the folks who work there don't care about the animals and nothing could be further from the truth. I have made some very good friends there and I know I will get a call if a minpin is in need. I am going to try and get the others to sit pretty for pictures, but I am NOT holding my breath.
In each photo we take of Chub, we always make sure that you can see that she has only one eye. Chub came to us via animal control with a grossly damaged right eye and it had to be removed. Most people don't even realize she is missing an eye until they get up close or until you tell them. Chub is certainly not perfect in appearance – what with her very bowed legs, her barrel chest, and missing eye – but isn't she adorable? She is a little over 7 lbs and she needs to lose that pound that she gained in 2006, so she is a teeny-tiny in my house. Chub is bossy, demanding, pushy, and not afraid to jump up and bite whatever she can reach when another dog crosses the line.

Mag,
Could you add this picture to your page? This comes from the family who adopted Roxy and Charlie. They look very happy with their new fur siblings!! Charlie is the minpin with the cropped ears and Roxy (now Foxy) is the one laying down. Have a very Merry Christmas.......

I still can't get a picture of all of the dogs together – snots. This was not what I envisioned for Harley's Christmas picture but it was such an odd and she looked so funny that I decided. I won't tell Phil... He would have a fit if he thought I was making fun of his old gal.

Hi there,
I really enjoy reading the stories and seeing the pictures on your site. I wanted to add my own.
Here is our Christmas picture - One year ago we already had 3 furbabies and I was looking thru the rescue pages and found the cutest little minpin. I inquired about her. Found out she had been caged (well crated) and not handled and was very sheepish and skiddish. She was almost 3 years old. Well I knew she would be a challenge but I wanted her! (you know it is when you just know!). So we drove up to get her. I found out from her foster mother you couldn't actually just pick her up, she was so afraid you had to be still and let her jump on you and slowly move your hand to clip a collar on her. She was so afraid of me. I had made a little jacket for her and managed to get that on her (it was cold, it was snowing that day). We got her in the truck and she was trying to stay as far away from me as she could and her mouth was wide open - she was practically hyperventilating from fear of us. I was so worried she wouldn't make it to our house!! The second day she managed to slip thru our fence (boy did we make sure that was all closed up so NOTHING can slip thru that now) and was walking around. My son and I tried for over an hour to catch her. She would just RUN past us. She finally wore down somewhat.. and he managed to tackle her (no of course he didn't hurt her). I was so afraid she was going to get run over it was so stressful! So after that I tied a shoe lace to her collar so that I could just step down on it to catch her in case she was to get away. And of course during the day I would do that and pick her up. Boy she would just JUMP thru the air if you touched her. Now a year later you would never believe that was the same dog. She is the biggest cuddlebug I have ever seen. She loves kisses, she holds her face up for kisses, then if I say other side she turns her face for kisses on the other side. If I am petting one of the other babies she pushes her way to get between us and on mom's lap. She rules the roost and we couldn't imagine life without our little Cinnamon (her name used to be KITTY!! can you imagine!). Our other babies are rescues too - you can see them in the picture with Santa. On the floor is Binky 10, Right next to Cinnamon is Diamond 4 , and the other side of Santa is Zoe 3. We have our hands full (and yes they all sleep in bed with us) but we love them soooo much!!!
Take Care all,
